It has been long discussed whether teachers should set challenging tasks for their students. Some people think that students need to study easily without the challenge. However, I habor the belief that teachers need to build a few missions for the students.

First of all, students can achieve their goals when they overcome the challenge. Take my cousin as an example, my cousin did not like to study in elementary school. Nonetheless, he met a senior teacher in his cram school, and the teacher helped him set challenging tasks every day. When my cousin finished the tasks, the teacher gave him some cookies to praise him. Therefore, the teacher's behavior stimulated my cousin's passion for studying, because of his achievement when he finished the difficult challenge.

In addition, setting tasks is useful for people to find the goal. For example, my sister did not know why she needed to go to the school, and she slept in class. Nevertheless, when her teacher started to set some challenging tasks for her, she found some interesting things to do. Hence, my sister begun to want to go to school, and she was so happy to deal with her challenging tasks.

Third, challenging tasks are set by a teacher to increase the interaction between students and teachers. For instance, students need to discuss with their teachers about how to do hard tasks, and it can make teachers and students have more opportunities to communicate. Thus, it can make students and teachers become closer.

In conclusion, although some people assert that giving challenges for students is harsh, I firmly believe that good teachers need to set some challenging tasks for their students, since it can arouse student's passion for studying, have a definite goal, and decrease the distance between the teachers and the students.
