Media have an essential role to play in each individual's life. It has been long discussed whether television programs, movies, and video games affect teenager's behavior. Some people may think that media are not important to influence young people, while I firmly habor the belief that the media must affect teenagers.

First of all, the media have more sensitive images which can attract teenagers to follow. Take my brother as an example, he really likes to play video games, because video games have a lot of vivid pictures and music. Therefore, he also likes to copy the characters’ behavior in video games.

In addition, the technology is more advanced so that teenagers or children can get them easily. For instance, my cousin already had a smart cellphone when she was only eight years old. Hence, she spent more to watch television or movies by using her smart cellphone, so that she always preferred to talk about some words from movies, even sometimes she says the rude words from violent episodes.

Third, parents become busier to do their jobs; thus, more young people are accompanied by movies, TV or video games. As a result, the teenagers and children have a lot of time to learn from the media, because books are so boring. For example, my niece always watches the media in leisure time. One day, I saw my niece cooking in the kitchen, and she explained that she saw the teaching video of baking cake, so she wanted to try to make a cake by herself. Fortunately, she cooked it so well, and she made me understand that young people can learn various things from the media.

To sum up, the media are so attractive and portrays the image or information easily. Moreover, the media can be a good partner for young people. I strongly believe that young people can be influenced by movies, TV or video games.
