When talking about the history of my country, the first thing comes to our mind is the period when we were colonized by Japan. It is hard for most of people to forget the history when we were under the colonization of Japan. Not only our national infrastructure but also the residents' lifestyle was influenced by the Japanese government at that time. Here are some examples below.

First of all, most of our national infrastructures were built during the period of Japanese colonial government. Since(因為) our country is located on an island surrounded by the sea, we did not have many resources or skills to build the basic infrastructure. Under the colonization of Japanese government, the government provided the skill and technology of building modern city system and public transportation. Without their detailed planning , we may not be able to take the train to travel around the country and enjoy the convenience of public transportation now.

In addition, the literacy rate increased a lot after the colonization of Japanese government. It was not until the demand of Japanese colonized government that all the children had to receive elementary education. Take my grandmother as an example. Thanks to this mandatory education policy, she was able to study in the elementary school and did not need to stay at home and do the housework for whole life, like her older sister. Thus, we can see that the residents' competence was improved a lot during the governance of the colonized government.

To sum up, the history of the colonization of Japanese government really affects my country a lot. Even Japanese did not colonize for a long period. Their policy still had big impact in our current life. I have to admit that their governance really has huge effect on my country.
