First of all, everyone has his own career path, and no one is identical. Students should choose the education that can support them to get closer to the career goals. For example, my sister is good at baking cookies and making all kinds of desserts. She likes to see people enjoying the food made by her. Her dream is to open a bakery. Therefore, she chose to go to technical college after she graduated from high school. With the education in technical college, she can enhance her cooking skills and get the license of pastry chef. Hence, students should take their career goals into consideration before making the decision on post-secondary education. 

In addition, the tuition of university tends to be higher than that of technical college. Students should also take their economic situation into account before making the decision. If there is not enough financial support from the family or scholarship from school, it would be quite hard for them to make a balance. According to statistics, more than fifty percent of university graduates in the US get student-loan issue. I believe that not everyone would like to spend more than ten years to pay off their student loan.

To sum up, post-secondary education, unlike the education before high school, is not mandatory. There are many factors that may affect students to choose their ideal education system. In my opinion, students should choose the education that can fit their personality, dream and career path the best. since the reality is still an important part, they should also consider their economic situation before making the decision.
