Nowadays, we are living in a society and enjoying the social benefits and infrastructure provided by the government. The government's work is bound up with our life. Some people doubt the right that the government requires all young people to perform national services, while others think that the government must require all young people to do the national services. As far as I am concerned, I agree that the government should demand all young people to perform national service. Here are some reasons.

First of all, some national policies need residents to perform so that the policies can have the best result. Take national defense as an example; even though the government has many soldiers and buys a lot of weapons and tanks, it is still not possible for the government to protect all the residents when it comes to war. If the residents has performed military service before and received some basic military trainings during the service, they will be able to protect themselves, react more quickly to danger and help the country to defend the intervention from other countries during a war. Thus, it is important for the government to demand all young people perform the national service.

In addition, we need to cultivate young people's patriotism and awareness of national policies. Having them do the national service will be a good way. When people perform national service, they will share the same objections with the government and understand the national policies better. My brother, Eric, did not do any national service until he graduated from the university. He was the person who did not care about any national policy before he did the military service requested by the government. After serving in the military, he explains why the government needs to spend so many budgets on national defense to us when we see the related news on TV, and he always shows his gratitude and respect to soldiers.

In conclusion, to elevate young people's awareness of national policy, to cultivate young people's patriotism and the ability to protect their own country, it is important that the government should demand that all the young people do some kinds of national services. I believe that our country will be stronger and our citizens will be more united if all young people have performed national services.
